This is a lovely vintage 1970s Scottish paperweight. It is made by Perthshire Paperweights.
It does not have a P cane - but not all early Perthshire weights did always have a cane in them.
It is about 1 1/2 inches in height and with a diameter at the widest point of about 2 1/2 inches.
The ground is a dark, near-black, colour with a central pontil mark on the base (as photographed),
It has a total of eleven laf spokes with latticinio twists in peppermint and lilac. The central rosette is very dark in tone - with green and dark blue colours. I love the mustard and pink cane placed right in the centre. There are canes in each section between the spokes - these are the palest of rose pinks and olive greens. The palette of colours on this fine weight is certainly unusual with all its darker shades.
It is in fine vintage condition for display - no chips or cracks or surface scratches.
