his is a vintage powder compact for loose face powders. It is slim and a larger and standard size - so would not be suitable for use with pressed cakes of powder.
It dates to the 1960s.
It has never been used and It is in a like-new condition - so no hygiene issues with it.
The main body is gold-tone - and the top of the lid has a very shiny black enamel finish with a raised marcasite floral ring in the center. It was made by Stratton (as annotated inside the lid). It still has its little original (thin) puff which is marked Stratton in gold on the top (slightly rubbed). Please note the brown marks on the plastic marblised circle on the top are only shadows and do not appear on the compact itself. The white area is nice and clean without any staining etc.
The mirror inside the lid is clean and without marks or spots on the surface.
The diameter is 8.5 cm (3 3/4 inches).
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
My asking price reflects its age and its exceptional condition. UK Postage will be with Royal Mail Recorded and the compact will be packed in a sturdy card box to keep it safe in transit. This will cost £4.95 and applied to your order at the checkout.
