These old 1950s / 1960s folding travel alarm clocks are now highly collectable. They are not battery-operated and have a manual wind mechanism.
This travelling alarm clock is a good quality Swiss-made one by Oris. It comes in its original box - which is in excellent condition. From what I can see, it looks like this clock has never been used and kept in the box for decades - so it is in pristine condition. c
The box says that is is model 513/15 PX and when wound it up runs for 8 days. It has 7 jewels.
The close closed up measures 8 cm x 7.5 cm with a height of just over 3 cm. It is about 230 grams in weight
The Oris brand is a luxury one. The company was founded in 1904 and remains one of the few remaining watchmakers.
The clock is covered in a nice jet-black fine leather. The face of the clock is a cream colour and the hands are gold-toned. It even still has the original protective cellophane on the inside to keep the grey lining all nice and clean. It has a nice gentle tick - and will lull you to sleep with it on your bedside cabinet.
This is a lovely vintage timepiece - and in such exceptional condition. You don't see such fine boxed examples anymore. This is reflected in my asking price.
