This is an amazing vintage vanity case or large firm-sided handbag.
I just love the shape - it is very unusual and also a nice large size - you could use it for your dancing classes and pop in your dancing shoes and little skimpy leotard. It is also a great bag for just general day-to-day use - or perhaps for a make-up artist.
Taken lots of photographs of all the details of it for your inspection.
It is a white / cream coloured vinyl / faux leather outside (a great animal-friendly item) and it is lined with brown silk material. There are also little plastic pots inside which are specific to the bag and fit into little compartments inside on one side, as shown. These have never been used and are all lovely and clean.
As you can see it is a quality item - dating to the early 1960s. It has never been used and is in near pristine condition. It is so beautifully made as you can see in my photographs.
It has a lovely shiny gold brass clasp in the center - you just press in the studs at either side of the clasp and it opens. The handles are also securely attached to brass loops on the top. I especially love the band which runs along the end sides for the bag from the top section.
The bag opens nice and wide to allow you easy access to the contents.
Dimensions: The width is 12 inches (30 cm). The height of the main body section is 8 inches (2o cm) and the depth on the side (bottom) is 7 1/4 inches (19cm) and on the side (top) is 6 inches (15 cm).
Lovely bag - not a mark on it. If you like it - best not hanging about with this one.. it is a bargain!
