ICONIC EDINBURGH UK POSTAGE COSTS. Updated March 2025

 

We have been recently having to constantly update postage costs so I have decided to make a page listing that I can easily update for you with our current postage charges. I hope that this will give you a rough idea of how much your parcel might cost to post. 

This list below features the most recent shipping costs - and it may supercede any shipping prices on the item or product description. Sorry about that - I just can't keep up with the Royal Mail increases in prices !!!

New Increased Royal Mail and Parcelforce Postage Rates have been introduced on 7 April 2025. This is basically the price they are charging Iconic to post to you. We do not make profit from postage to you. 

THESE POSTAGE RATES WILL BE APPLIED TO YOUR ORDER AT CHECKOUT. Sorry about the length - I have tried to streamline this for you - postage quotes can often be a bit of a minefield.  But usually your recorded parcels will be about £5.75 for a small item and £7.50 for larger items. 

If you have overpaid for any shipping service - I will notice this and refund overpayments.    

 

ICONIC EDINBURGH'S UK SHIPPING CHARGES

We generally offer FREE Delivery (where possible) in the Edinburgh Area. 

For large letter sizes; 2nd class Standard. Weight no more than 750 grams (mainly usually used by us for lower value jewellery, compacts etc). This would be £3.00

For small parcels weighing no more than 2kg  (with a value of around £50) we use Royal Mail Recorded. This will be generally £5.75 for 1st class signed for service.  

For medium or slightly larger parcels weighing no more then 2kg (with a value of around £50) we usually use Royal Mail First Class Tracked and Signed For. This will be £8.75. Royal Mail Second Class Tracked and Signed for will be £7.85 

For lower value medium parcels (2kg) which do not require a signature or tracking - this will be at your risk and be quoted at £6.50

Royal Special Next Day Delivery Guaranteed before 1pm will be offered for more expensive items needing enhanced insurance. Large Letters (for Jewellery over £50) would be £8.50. For Small Parcels up to 1kg in weight - this will be £10.50. For Small Parcels over 1kg and below 2kg - this will be £13.50

For heavier items we will post with Parcelforce24 Tracked (but not signed for).  Parcels up to 5 kg with cost £10.75. Parcels over 5 kg will be cap at £14.95. This will include insurance for loss or damage to items up to £150 - but only for loss in transit for fragile items. 

Pictures and larger & heavier valuable items would be capped at £24.95

Thickness up to and including: 0.5cm Weight limit: 100g

Small Parcels not exceeding: Length: 45cm Width: 35cm
Depth: 16cm Weight limit: 2kg

Medium Parcels not exceeding: Length: 61cm Width: 46cm
Depth: 46cm Weight limit: 20kg
