This is a rare survivor from the 1950s. He is made by Murano in Italy.
This is a novelty decanter - taking the form of a little Mexican man - he wears a big yellow mottled glass sombrero - and love his wee black moustache. Check out his wee red nose.
He has a round body - which forms the decanter and the neck section has a little formed rim - which allows you to pour the contents from it very easily. Around his tummy - there is a decorative band or belt.
This piece of quirky Murano glass is hand blown and unique in its making.
The base where the pontil mark was - has been carefully polished smooth, as photographed.
A really unusual item - and would look fabulous on your cocktail bar or drinks cabinet.
In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The stopper comes out of the bottle easily so the decanter is certainly fully functional... now all you need is to top up with some tequila and he is all fine and dandy for your home bar.
