This is a very pretty vintage tin - it dates to the 1950s.
It is litho-printed on the outside with a pretty - and very delicate pattern of flowers and decorative scrolls etc.
It is a nice large size with a hinged lid. It also has a little metal clasp lock on the front to keep the box securely locked.
It is a great storage container - perfect for stationery, letters, sewing threads, postcards, etc - like a little treasure chest.
You lift the lid and you see on the inside of the lid - that this was originally a big tin full of Blue Bird Toffees - probably a special issue for families at Christmas - as you would certainly get a lot of toffees in this one. The Blue Bird Toffees were originally sold by Harry Vincent Ltd of Hunnington in Worcestershire and these details are shown inside the lid.
As you can see from my images - it is in pretty good vintage condition. My price reflects that it is still in such lovely condition after 70 years - and also its larger size.
Dimensions: 24.5cm x 18.5cm. It is a taller size - being just over 11 cm in height.
It would be £4.95 to post to you in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded post - this would be applied to your order at the checkout.
