This is a lovely large Poole charger or footed plate - shallow dish.
The dolphin mark on the back of the plate dates from 1966 - 1980. It is also marked as being: Shape 4.
A fine vintage 1970s design. The plate is in good condition with no chips or cracks. A couple of tiny surface scratches to the glaze (please check all my images) - this is reflected in my price for this larger plate.
It is from the Poole Dephis range - the decoration on this one is quite unusual - with its abstract wheel form. The design is certainly very painterly.
The red colour is a bit darker on the actual piece of pottery - it is more of a dark red claret shade.
It is just over 10 1/2 inches in diameter (27 cm). The height is about 2 inches high.

Given its size - it would have to be very carefully packed and posted using a Royal Mail Medium size parcel.
