Edmund Burke was born in Dublin (1729-1797), and was an Irish statesman, author, orator, political theorist and philosopher.
Burke was an Irish statesman and philosopher. He moved to London in 1750 and served as a member of parliament (MP) between 1766 and 1794 in the House of Commons with the Whig Party after moving to London in 1750.
This is a very rare 19th Century Staffordshire figure of Burke. He is shown dressed in a navy coat and wearing a dark green waistcoat. He is shown bareheaded and without his usual wig.
A lovely wee figure standing about 7 inches in heigh - his name is inscribed on the front of the plinth section.
In excellent antique condition with no damages or restoration.
This wee model is now very hard to source - and this is reflected in my asking price.
