These 1960s vintage plastic sunburst candlesticks are now hard to find - and in such lovely condition.
These were made in Germany by Freidel.
Of offer here are a matching pair of red ones (as well as a rarer matching bowl, as photographed).
Theywill look great on a dining table in the retro interior.
This pair is made of clear scarlet red hard plastic or lucite.
To protect the candle holder from the heat of the candle - they have a central reservoir made of metal - where the candle base pops into.
The candleholders on offer here are in excellent condition - with no chips or damages. Both are of course lovely and clean with no chips or losses. They come with a rare bowl with spiky feet - there are little ridges on the inside of the bowl - not sure if something sat on these wee ridges - but the bowl is much rarer and in pretty fine vintage condition - as photographed.
The three items are quite space age in design - with their pointed, spindly fingers above and below.
Nice to find a matching set.
Height of each: about 3 1/2 inches; diameter at the top is just under 4 inches. The bowl measures: 4 inches in height - with a diameter of just under 4 ¾ inches.
