This is a pretty little evening bag dating to the late 1940s or early 1950s.
It is a nice petite size which would be for more glamourous formal events when you dont need to carry a large heavy handbag.
It would hold a little purse, powder compact and lipstick, and a couple of door keys quick easily.
As you can see from my photographs - it is very decorative and in good condition.
The front is covered in a busy decorative pattern with semi-circular sequins and meandering beadwork - the predominant colours are old gold coloured sequins and beads on a cafe creme coloured satin material - the flap is certainly quite heavily embellished with sequins.
The back of the bag has a little loop handle and is covered with more meandering beads.
The bag is kept closed with a little popper stud.
The lining is a thicker shot silk - and it is beige in colour. Nice and clean with no tears - and with a little label saying that this lovely little evening purse was made in Belguim.
It measures 13.5 cm in height and 15 cm wide.
Very pretty - and a nice wee bag to add to your collection.
