This is a decorative vintage 1960s piece of German Art Glass.
It is a Solifleur Bud or Stem Vase which as made for Walther Glas in West Germany and designed by Heiner Düsterhaus.
It is very minimalistic in style - and consists of an oblong flat slab of crystal clear glass - there is a hole in the top where you would pop in a little dribble of water and pop in a single flower head. You could alternatively use this as a candle holder with a wee candle popped into the aperture (careful not to let it burn right down though!).
The glass piece also makes a fine vintage minimalistic paperweight.
The back of the glass is smooth with no detailing - the front has a raised central area with a misty texture - and a polished decorative dimple towards the bottom. The two wings have a texture.
A nice piece of glass - which would look fabulous as a Christmas table decoration.
Dimensions: Height is 4 inches. Width is 5 1/2 inches - and the depth is about 1 1/2 inches.
In excellent condition with no damages.
