This is a highly decorative vintage 1960s British-made Coffee Set - with a design that looks to European mid-century ones.
The set is complete and made by the Empire Porcelain Pottery - as annotated on the base of the pot. The design was made by John Russell in 1964, He worked for Midwinter - as well as for Empire before the factory's closure in 1967.
The pattern is very "Carnaby Street" - and is made up of red and orange abstract, geometric shapes.
The style of the pot is also very mid-century modern in shape.
It is a complete set - consisting of the tall coffee pot, milk jug, and open sugar bowl. Six cups and six saucers (with a glossy black glaze to match the coffee pot lid).
All pieces are in excellent condition. These vintage Empire Porcelain items had a tendency to develop glaze crazing - to great to find a set in such lovely condition.
Dimensions: The Coffee pot is 22cm in height and the cups have a diameter at the top of about 7 cm. The saucers are 13 cm in diameter.
Due to size and weight - the set will have to be sent Parcelforce24. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
