This is a fine original hand-coloured lithograph, dating to 1987.
It was made by the Scottish artist, Pat Douthwaite (1939 - 2002).
It shows a strange bird - it is formed from a large abstract feathery shape - and looks rather like a stooping crow or black raven.
There is a textile wall hanging on the wall behind - with an intricate abstract pattern.
The image has been printed in black ink - and has had touches of watercolour added by the artist to enliven the area depicting the textile hanging.
