This is a fine original hand-coloured lithograph, dating to 1987.
It was made by the Scottish artist, Pat Douthwaite (1939 - 2002).
It shows a stylized image of a woman who is smelling flowers which she has placed in a quirky vase on her table. The vase has a long neck - and is decorated with an image of a bird.
The image has been printed in black ink - and has had touches of watercolour added by the artist to enliven selected parts of the image. It is signed below: Douthwaite A/P (for artist's proof).
It is being sold unframed.
The print has been printed on heavy Arches paper - and this measures 77 x 57 cm.
This print comes from a small edition of just 20 impressions.
Another impression of this print (also unframed) sold recently at Lyon and Turnbull. Sale 19/1/2022 (Lot 210) for £1062. So this is a bit of a bargain!
