This is a stunning vintage 1980s screenprint - signed in pencil lower right: S Carlyle. It has not been dated but on stylistic evidence, it must date for having been made in the 1980s.
The image shows two ladies chatting and having drinks in a garden setting - lovely bright colours. It is very painterly - and might even have been touched with colours after printing by the artist.
The artist may have been looking for works by Matisse for inspiration - especially evident in the abstracted floral designs in the background.
This is No. 2 out of an issue of 275. It is an original artwork and certainly would make a stunning feature on a modernist interior.
