These are highly collectable and rare miniature children's books. They date to the 1930s and are in good condition commensurate with age and used.
I have taken lots of image of the books - as a set and details of interest on the individual volumes.
Each wee volume measures 7.5 x 6.5 cm. They are printed on thick paper in boards, with wrap-around designs and illustrated end-papers with two different designs. They also come with the exceptionally rare gift-box for presentation. The box is a little tired and not in the greatest condition - but it is there and you hardly ever find this surviving.
They come from a series called Tippenny-Tuppenny Books. They were edited by Mrs. Herbert Strang (Pulished London, Humphrey Milford, Oxford University Press, 1930-32).
Each books comes with text and cute 1930s black and white illustrations - the thing that makes these volumes so special are the colour woodcut-style covers.
My asking price for these as a wee set is a very fair one - as they are hard to find and much-sought after, especially with the box.
They will be sent to you with Royal Mail Signed for Postage.
