This is a very pretty little Art Deco watercolour painting. It has been signed E. Douglas and dated 1933.
It is a very stylised design and would look good hanging beside woodblock prints by Hall Thorpe - which are similar in abstract shapes, colours and atmosphere.
This lovely little watercolour shows a Japanese lady walking in a garden. She wears a peach and light blue kimono. There is a little arched Japanese bridge in the distance. The lady crosses a little bridge with a beautiful array of flowers in the foreground.
