This is a lovely piece of mid-century modern ceramics.
It is a Poole "freeform" elliptical shape vase - with a fabulous 50s abstract pattern on the exterior and the interior is decorated with a pale pink blush shade with an eggshell finish.
The stylish pattern is called Totem, designed by Ruth Pavely and it is signed on the base: PY. It dates to 1956 /1957.
Dimensions: The overall height is 4 inches. The width is 9 3/4 inches - and the depth is at its widest point is 4 1/2 inches. It is in excellent condition with no damages.
These 1950s atomic inspired pieces with amorphic shapes are highly collectable and sought after by Poole collectors - this is reflected in my asking price for this fine example
