This is a fabulous PAIR of large mid-century oval serving plates or platters. These are rare survivors and this is reflected in my asking price.
They have a fabulous geometric pattern and the design is called HAWAII.
I have a small selection of Hawaii serving plates and bowls etc in my Iconic Edinburgh online store - I would look at getting good postage quotes for you if you wish more than one item from my shop.
The pattern was designed in the early 1950s and has a fresh modern feel to the design synonymous with many Festival of Britain-inspired decorations. The design features a sprig of exotic leaves and a glossy overglaze red decorative band. The shape of the ceramics is the popular Stylecraft one.
As you can see - this is a really stylish and highly collectable pattern - and this 50s pattern is now becoming a much harder to find one.
Both platters are in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
Dimensions: The larger platter is 16 x 12 1/2 inches (priced at £30) and the smaller platter is 12 x 9 3/4 inches (priced at £25).
The weight unpacked for the two is 2.2 kg. This will have to be posted with Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel). This will have to be applied to the order at the checkout.
