This is a very rare mid-century pattern called Fiesta.
I have given a generic description below and at the bottom of my description shall explain the details of the specific items on offer on this lot.
I have a number of fine pieces of tableware in this pattern in my online store. It is hard to find and in really good condition - so this is reflected in my asking price.
These dinner items were made by Royal Worcester in the 1960s. The design features an unusual pattern featuring a combination of musical instruments, vegetables, and atomic patterns. I am not sure if this pattern was a great commercial success or not for Worcester, which might explain their rarity - there doesn't even appear to be an example in the ceramics collection of the V&A.
The pieces are of the finest quality as you might expect from Worcester and are made from porcelain. All the pieces are in excellent condition - no losses to the decoration, no chips etc, and no cutlery marks on the surface.
Please note most pieces have beautiful gold gilding to them - so they would not be suitable for putting in the microwave or your dishwasher.
THESE ITEMS: Just so that there is no confusion - on offer here is just ONE LARGE SIZE OVAL SERVING PLATTER.
It measures 12 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches. This is the one in the photographs with the blue balalaika, horns and the long bugle musical instruments illustrated on it.
It is in good condition - I have taken images of it beside my largest one.
