The Beswick Circus (and Ballet / Dawn Chorus) patterns are amongst some of my favourite designs on 1950s British ceramics.
I have on offer on my site two very rare pieces in this pattern - this coffee pot and also the hard-to-find teapot.
This stylish Ballet pattern was designed by Albert Hallam and was in produced between 1956 and 1961. It was classified as "Ballet" - but was also know as Pavlova. The design is a mid-century classic and features a couple dancing and stylish trees.
This is the coffee pot - it is in excellent condition with no damages of any kind. The interior is clean with no staining. There are no chips or issues with the spout. It looks like it has never been used and packed away for a good number of years. There is a little very light crazing (typical issues on these pieces and mentioned here for accuracy). This is very light - and only noticeable on close up inspection.
Dimensions: The height is 7 1/2 inches. From spout to handle is 7 3/4 inches.
You often find the cups and saucers in this pattern - but the tea pot and coffee pot - is the "holy grail". I have priced these at a fair price - complete tea-sets can retail for over £700!
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
