This is a really beautiful and stylish 1950s Coffee Set - which is very Festival of Britain in feel. It was made for Foley China by Hazel Thumpston and Donald Brindley in 1957.
The main body is decorated with a matt black glaze with a white abstract decorative border which resembles a fountain or a flourish of fireworks.
All pieces are in excellent vintage condition with no damages.
The set consists of the following:
Coffee pot (although it could also be used of course as a teapot) : 8 inches in height and from spout to handle also 8 inches.
Four demitasse coffee cups: 2 1/4 inches in height and with a diameter of 2 3/4 inches.
There four saucers which measure 5 inches in diameter.
The milk jug is 3 1/4 inches in height. The open sugar bowl is 1 3/4 inches in height and has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches.
The set will have to be carefully packed to ship to you. I would have to send in a large box individually packed inside. This would have to be with Parcelforce24. This would be applied to your order at the checkout.
