Cobblestone" was a popular range of Maling kitchen wares produced in shades of brown, green and blue between 1931 and 1939. Before introducing the "Cobblestone" design, Maling was a major producer of plain, "CC" (creamware) kitchen goods.
The new design was intended as fresh decorative option for domestic use, moving away from the plain white utility wares Maling had previously specialized in. The name comes from the decoration covering the pot - the oval blue shapes all pressed together resemble cobblestones on a road or pavement. The design was only in production for a short period up until the start of WWII when production focused more on items produced for the war effort.

This is the attractive blue colour which looks good in vintage inspired kitchens. It is in good vintage condition - they are functional pieces and many that survive have chips or other damage.
The fact that they are in such lovely condition is reflected in my asking price - these are much sought after pieces of Maling kitcheware.
This one of the two small spice jars that I have. This one is lettered SPICE. It measures 10.5 cm (just over 4 inches) in height. It has a diameter of 9 cm (3 1/5 inches).
