These are rare wall pockets from my own personal collection. I had them in my bathroom - but recent refurbishments to this space mean that they no longer fit in with the new decor. So it is with a little sadness that I have decided to list them for sale.
I have had these for many years - and have not seen any other ones like them.
They were designed in the 1950s by Colin Melbourne for Beswick. Each of my wall pockets still has its old paper Beswick label on them. They are also signed on the back - as photographed. Both are marked with the Beswick mould number: 1400They are certainly strange amorphic shapes and look stunning on display. I love the rich egg-shell terracotta glaze on them.
They are 7 1/2 inches in height - with a width of 5 inches. They have a depth of just over 1 1/2 inches.
They are of course in perfect condition - with no issues. Just to make it clear - the pair in the photographs are on offer here.
