have three of these in total in my store. This listing is for ONE cup and a matching saucer.
These were made at Aldermaston Pottery founded in Berkshire in 1955 by Alan Caiger-Smith.
Half a dozen assistant potters worked at Aldermaston and they worked as a team for more routine production work - and individually for studio pieces.
The Pottery is noted mainly for its tin-glaze wares with stylish abstract designs and also for its lustreware.
This is a pretty matching twin-handled bowl or cup with a matching undersaucer. Each piece is signed on the base with the cypher for Edgar Campden (born 1930). He joined Aldermaston Pottery in 1961 and stayed there until 1993.
They are in excellent condition with no damage.
The saucer is 6 ¾ inches. The bowl is 5 ¼ inches in diameter. Hande to handle it is just over 7 inches and the height is 2 ¾ inches.
UK Postage for each set will be £4.95 with Royal Mail Recorded Post. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
