This is a lovely genuine vintage Whitefriars Pewter Grey "Pyramid" vase. This is been in my own collection for over 20 years - but I am running out of display space at home and have decided to list it.
It was designed by Geoffrey Baxter and is Shape Number 9674. It was issued as part of the textured range which launched in 1967. It is a harder piece of Whitefriars to source - and pieces are quickly snapped up when they come on the market.
The textured finish on this is nicely delineated to the front and back - the sides are smooth - there is a large band of bark effect clear glass on the bottom. The glass is a dark grey colour - I think that it is pewter - but often hard to distinguish between pewter and willow ones. But I am listing it as being a pewter one.
It is a genuine 1960s Whitefriars Pyramid vase - and sold as such by me. I have taken lots of photographs for your inspection.
It is 7 inches in height and 7 inches at the widest point (the base). It has a depth of 2 1/2 inches.
It is in perfect condition with no damage (it has been on my glass shelf for a long time). It has a nice large polished pontil on the base - as photographed.
