This is a highly collectable piece of Scottish Art Glass. It is a rare item and comes from a very small edition of only 12 glasses or goblets produced with his jousting design.
This engraved glass rummer or goblet was designed by Colin Terris (1937 - 2007) and made for Caithness Glass. This one features an image of a knight who has fallen during a jousting tournament - in the background is a magnificent tent topped with flags.
Etched signature on the base and date 1970 No 4/12.
This beautiful goblet is from a very limited edition of only 12 engraved in this pattern by Terris. Height: 6 inches (15 cm)
It is in excellent condition. My price reflects both the exceptional quality of this piece & its rarity. It was difficult to photograph so I hope my images have done it justice. This is certainly a museum quality piece of fine Scottish glass, and this is reflected in my asking price.
Colin Terris is acknowledged internationally as the Father of Modern Paperweight Design. For 33 years he was the lead designer at Caithness Glass and in 1991 he was created a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his contribution to British Glass.
The goblet would be sent to you with Parcelforce24 / Royal Mail Tracked and Signed for. It would be fully insured against loss or damage in transit. This would be applied to your order at the checkout.
