This is a pretty piece of vintage hand blown Scottish art glass. It dates to around the 1950s.
It is a tall bucket shape and measures some 7 1/2 inches in height.
It is an unusual colour for Vasart with the main body colour being a cloudy light burnt orange colour. This is opaque with no mottling or swirls in the glass. Around the rim - about two inches in height is a speckled black and gold aventurine band.
The vase has a raised pontil mark - as you might find on an earlier Monart piece - but this is a later Vasart vase. It has the word Vasart lightly etched with acid on the base.
It is in excellent condition with no damages. A more unusual glowing colour - and it looks such a nice vibrant example. I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
Dimensions: 7 1/2 inches in height. The diameter of the rim is 5 3/8 inches. The base is 3 1/2 inches. The weight unpacked it is 900 grams.
A very fair price for a fine piece of Vasart glass.
It will have to be sent as a medium-size parcel with Royal Mail in the UK. This will be applied to your order at checkout.
