This is a pretty piece of vintage hand blown Scottish art glass. It dates to around the 1950s.
It is a tall bucket shape and measures some 7 1/2 inches in height.
It is a pretty cloudy or opaque lilac-grey colour, The rim is a speckled darker lilac colour and with little swirls of blue and purple around the top, as photographed.
The vase has a raised pontil mark - as you might find on an earlier Monart piece - but this is a later Vasart vase. It has the word Vasart lightly etched with acid on the base.
It is in good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. It sadly does have a little flow in the making on the rim edge - it looks like a little white trapped air bubble under the surfact of the rim edge. This is not so obvious when it is on display - but because of this issue - I have listed this at a much reduced price. I have photographed the flaw in close up in my last three images on the listing.
Dimensions: 7 3/4 inches in height. The diameter of the rim is 6 inches. The base is 3 1/2 inches. The weight unpacked it is 1.1 kg.
It will have to be sent as a medium-size parcel with Royal Mail in the UK. This will be applied to your order at checkout.
