This is a very decorative and stylish blue glass vase. It is of bulbous form and the shape is called by Okra is a "Nebula" one.
It is an opaque slightly satin blue glass on the neck and top of the main body section. And below we have lots of swirls of decorative lustre bands with a streaky effect - these rise and twirl around.
On stylistic basis I am dating this vase to the late 1980s. It is not signed - but I think that it is a nice piece of vintage Okra glass - and it probably originally had a silver paper label on the base, now lost. I have listed this as Okra-Style due to the lack of a label.
Okra Glass was owned and run by Richard Golding. The company produced mainly iridescent glass and has been in continuous production since 1979.
I am assuming that this bulbous vase was made by one of the production assistants at the Okra studio. It is certainly a fine and decorative piece of English Studio Glass made at the end of the 20th Century.
It is a nice larger piece. The height of the vase is 6 3/4 inches - and the diameter at the widest point is 5 1/2 inches. The diameter of the rim is 3 3/4 inches. Unpacked it weighs 900 grams.
Have taken lots of images to assess all the decoration. It is in excellent condition with no damages.
It will be posted in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded post (Medium Size Parcel).
