This is a lovely piece of unique Poole Studio Pottery.
It was designed in the 1960s and takes the form of a shallow bowl which measures 8 inches in diameter.
It is certainly a beautifully hand-painted piece and a unique design with no condition issues. There is a little paint mark on the back - as photographed - this is where the decorator has touched the reverse of the plate by mistake when painting the plate - but not noticed - and the plate has then gone to firing. The reserve of the plate seems to have a yellow tinge to the glaze - this is done in the making.
The sheer painterly quality of this beautiful piece of Poole is reflected in my asking price for this superb plate.
