This is a lovely 1950s / early 1960s breakfast set. It was made by JIE Gantofta of Sweden - as annotated on the base ceramics These breakfast sets are getting hard to find. This is a nice one as the teak stand on the base has a built-in carrying handle to allow you to easily place on your table.
This one is in good condition - with no chips or damages to the ceramics - and the wooden tray etc is also in clean condition with no cracks or staining. It is missing its original knife which would have gone into the little slot on the top - but I have found one from the same period which looks fine with the design.
As you can see from my photographs - a lovely piece of mid-century design. The set consists of the following: a salt and pepper set with little round teak lid, little lidded mustard pot (no spoon), and an open circular jam or marmalade pot.
A lovely and harder to find set which would look great on a mid-century Scandinavian buffet cabinet, coffee table or formica breakfast bar.
Dimensions: The teak tray measures 12 3/4 inches in length x 5 1 /2 inches at the widest. The open dish is 4 inches in diameter x 1 3/4 inches in height. The mustard pot is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches. The salt and pepper is 2 inches in height by 2 inches wide.
