This is an adorable little wall pocket that dates to the 1930s.
It takes the two of two entwined birds on a little wooden perch. I think that these are love birds - but this wall pocket is often attributed to representing budgies.
It was designed by Clarice Cliff when she worked for Newport Pottery in the 30s. It is more realistic in style than her more abstract brightly coloured designs and patterns.
It is stamped Clarice Cliff on the back, as photographed.
It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or damage. It has lovely hand-painted colours.
The wall pocket is 21 cm in height and with a width of around 10.5 cm.
A lovely decorative piece of Art Pottery for a stylish Art Deco interior.
