This is a collectable vintage 1970s British art glass paperweight.
It was made at Isle of Wight Glass when Michael Harris was working there. It has an early pontil mark in the shape of a flame, as photographed.
The weight is 2 3/4 inches in height and 3 inches in diameter.
A beautiful weight in lovely vintage condition - it has a random swirls of Royal Blue and Turquoise s - which echoes the waves of the sea around the Isle. There are air bubbles inside and the glass looks a little like a whirlpool.
It is in good vintage condition - it has a couple of tiny dimples on the side of the weight - done in the making by internal air bubbles. These old "flame" Isle of Wight weights are getting harder to source. I have reduced the price on this one to reflect the issue with air bubbles. You cannot see these on display but only on close up and concentrated inspection.
