This pretty paperweight was made by Selkirk Glass in the Scottish Borders. It has an etched inscription as photographed - and is inscribed with the date 2000 - for the Millenium.
Selkirk Glass was set up by Peter Holmes and Ron Hutchison in 1977. Peter Holmes left in 2002. The company sadly closed in 2006 - so these beautiful weights are no longer being made.
It has a height of 2 3/4 inches and a diameter of 3 inches.
It is a very pretty paperweight with a more simple design. The floor is an opaque white and cerise colour with a pink lampwork flower issuing from the center. The flower head has little green leaves and five petals - in the center is a large silvery airbubble. There are also some random smaller controlled airbubbles scattered through the crown.
It has an engraved inscription on the base: Selkirk Glass Scotland 2000
It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
It will be sent to you with Royal Mail Tracked Post (Small Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
