This another really pretty Scottish glass paperweight which I am currently listing. As you can see it is beautifully made and was created by Strathearn Glass in the early 1970s.
The paperweight is in excellent condition and comes in its original blue presentation box and has the Strathearn paper label on the base. You do not find these weights still in their original box. The box is in fine condition. The silk lining is in pretty good condition for its age. The outside of the box is also in good condition. I have photographed this for you. I have taken lots of photographs of both box and the weight for your inspection.
The ground is clear and it creates the effect that the canes are floating inside the paperweight. The base has been polished flat with no pontil mark evident. There is a Strathearn label on the base.
The weight has a central rosette made of of white coloured millefiori canes. There are a total of eight full-length white latticino ribbons issuing from the rosette. In between each ribbon is a triangular placement of pastel millefiori canes in a 1-2-2-3 formation.
This one also has a "S" cane for Strathearn and a date cane "71".
It is in lovely condition - with no damage. Again, it is a most attractive vintage Scottish glass paperweight.
It measures 2 1/4 inches in height with a diameter of 3 inches.
