This is certainly a very fine vintage Scottish paperweight to add to your collection.
It was made by the glass maestro at Caithness Glass, Margot Thomson. This one is called Wanderlust and is CT-831.
It is number 224 from a limited edition of just 350 pieces (closed at 298). It has the etched edition number and title on the base.
This lovely weight with a focus on more pretty pastel tones. The base is almost clear - with a sweep of pale pink and green glass speckled with white grains. From the base rise a dancing selection of air bubbles - rising from the cloud like base like rising fireworks. It is a lively composition. So that you can see all the action inside Thomson has added 6 polished viewing facets around the sides. A lot of work has gone into making this very subtle Scottish weight.
It is of course in excellent vintage condition with no damages - and measures just over 2 1/2 inches in height and the diameter is 3 inches. Unpacked it is 560 grams in weight.
