This is a lovely piece of 1960s glass.

I haven't seen another vase of this particular design - but it looks like a piece designed by Frantisek Vizner - who used the grass-like lines as part of the surface decoration of some of his pressed glass pieces, such as his famous "eye bath" vase.

It is also decorated in a random pattern around the outside of the base area with a raised bubble pattern. It has a fleur de lis mark on the base as photographed.

With a texture reminiscent of melting glass - this showstopper would certainly look magnificent in a more minimalist interior on a rosewood coffee table or bureau.

It is 8 1/4 inches in height - with a diameter at the top of 8 3/4 inches. The diameter of the base is 5 1/2 inches. t is a really large and heavy piece and weighs nearly 3.2 kg  unpacked

It is in excellent condition with no damage - any white marks in my photographs are caused by reflections from the glass.
