These mid-century dishes, designed by the celebrated Norwegian ceramic designer, Inger Waage for Stavangerflint, are now highly collectable.

Her work is featured in a comprehensive study of her work "Inger Waage: Design for Stavangerflint 1953 - 1979)". This tome was published by Jan Gjerde in Norwegian - with the inclusion of a short English summary.
Wagge, studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and art, before pursuing a career as an industrial ceramist. She worked with Stavangerflint between 1953 to 1979.
This charming little plate is one of her most sought-after pieces. It is decorated with a pretty lady. She has fruit in her hair and has a large pair of abstract earrings. The design would have been initially applied with a screen and subsequently hand-painted - so each one is unique.
It is in excellent condition and measures 8 inches square. This painterly works by Inger Waage are much sought after and this is reflected in my asking price. It is, of course, in perfect condition with no damages.
