This is an interesting set of mid-century 1950s / 1960s German Porcelain Side Plates.
They are quite an unusual design for the Winterling Marktleuthen company who usually produced more traditional floran designs. I have never seen this pattern before.
The company was probably taking influence from Terrence Conran's "Salad Ware" pieces for Midwinter - which features a similar pattern of abstracted vegetables - with similar colours etc. Of course, Conran's designs are much more expensive. !
So a very interesting set of plates - with a traditional German porcelain manufacturer looking to more funky contemporary British designs to enliven their range in the 1950s and 1960s.
My side plate is 7 3/4 inches in diameter. All in good vintage condition with no damages.
The pattern features a variety of vegetables - including mushrooms, asparagus, marrows and I think artichokes.
I have a total of 10 of these plates in my store. I am listing them at a very fair price of £10 per plate.
I am listing a complete set of six on my website as a separate listing and then listing the remaining 4 as two separate pairs (listed as A and B) - just in case you only require small amounts. This is pair B.
