This is a fabulous large lidded serving pot or ovenproof casserole pot.
It dates to the late 1950s or 1960s.
It is from the Stavangerflint Flamingo range - as annotated on the base
The design is a harder to find one - and the exterior is printed with a frieze of yellow and pale blue tulip-type flowers.
The pattern is called Tulipan (Tulips) and was designed by Inger Waage (1923 - 1995).
Inger Waage started working for Stavangerflint in 1953, She designed quite a number of patterns for the Flamingo tableware including the well-known Bambus and Chef patterns.
This is certainly a stunning large piece of mid-century Scandinavian pottery - the pot measures: 8 1/4 inches diameter with a height of 5 1/2 inches.
It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks or staining. There are some little losses to the fine black outlines to the tulips (as photographed please loos at the images) but think that this was in the making rather than thorough use - as it is otherwise in such lovely condition.
These larger lidded pots in the Tulip Pattern are now rare and this is reflected in my asking price.
