This is a fabulous complete and pristine coffee set that was designed by the celebrated Finnish designer, Tapio Wirkkala in the 1960s.
It is made of porcelain and decorated with simple blue bands as photographed.
The set is made for Rosenthal Studio Line - and I think that the shape is called Composition - and it was printed with a variety of decorative patterns. I am not sure of the name of this simple blue printed one.
My set is complete and in excellent condition - with no signs of use and practically perfect in every way!
I love all the shapes - and especially the shape of the coffee cups with their stylish nipped in stems.
The pieces measure as follows:
The coffee pot is 18 cm in height with a diameter of 10 cm. The sugar bowl is 7 cm in height with a diameter of 8 cm. The milk jug is 8 cm in height. The saucers have a diameter of 11 cm. The cups are 7 cm in height and 6 cm in diameter.
