This is a stylish 1930s Art Deco decanter made by Karl Palda. It is sold as a single decanter - sadly, I do not have any shot glasses that might have originally come with it.
The firm of Karl Palda was founded in 1888 in Haida, Nový Bor, Bohemia. The company was a well respected Art Deco glass manufacturer that was best known for its fine geometric pieces in particular decanters, decanter sets, vases, candlesticks, vanity sets, toilet sets and perfume bottles.
My decanter is certainly a very fine piece of Czech Deco Glass - perfect for "Jazz Age" cocktails.
It is a nice large size and in good condition with no chips, cracks or staining to the glass. The black enamel decoration is totally original to the decanter and also without issues.
The decanter is a fabulous shape and comes with its original stopper. I have taken lots of images for your inspection. It is truly a most eye-catching piece of vintage European glass and indeed always a much sought after one! So if you like it.. don't hang about.
Dimensions: The height including the stopper is 10 inches. The width is 7 inches (at the widest). The depth is 4 1/2 inches. It is 1.5 kg unpacked.
