I love this more contemporary glass vase. It is in pristine condition with no chips to any of the facets. I will be happy to have this on display at home until it is re-homed.
This is an amazing vase which is covered all over with angled facets to the outside and also to the inside of the body - I love the zig-zig detail to the interior rim. It certainly catches the light and all the facets twinkle like little diamonds! It is oval in shape and tapers down to the base. It is more of a little sculptural piece - far to beautiful to use as a vase.
The vase is called an "Eye" vase. It is was designed for Baccarat Glass in 2001 by the avant-garde designer Nicolas Tribulot. It has the etched Baccarat mark on the base, as photographed.
Eye vases were made in two different sizes. This is the smaller of the two. It is 5 1/2 inches (just under 15 cm) in height. The width at the top of 4 1/2 inches. The depth is 3 3/4 inches. It is 1.2 kg in weight unpacked. It does not have its original retail box sadly - but it is far too nice to keep packed away in a box.
It will be sent to you in the UK carefully packed with Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery so that is is fully insured against damage or loss in transit to you. This will be just over £10 and appliedl to your order at the check out.
