This a most fabulous piece of vintage Murano Glass. It has a Made in Italy sticker on the base. It is attributed to Fratelli Toso.
An identical one is shown on page 120 of the Schiffer Publication "Italian Glass. Century 20" by Leslie Pina, as photographed.
The one illustrated is also unmarked and it is of the same size.
It has been hand-blown and the pontil mark and it is beautifully made.
The overall height is 17 3/4 inches (45 cm) and the diameter at the widest point is 3 1/2 inches.
The bottle has been blown from a gather of white and scarlet red canes. Just how adorable is the fancy stopper!
It looks fabulous on display - it has no damages of any kind. It is a highly collectable piece of vintage Italian glass - and is priced accordingly.
The shape of the decanter, with its long neck, gives some fragility to the piece - so sadly, I would not be able to post it outside of the UK.
It will be sent to you with Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery.
