This is a nice decorative piece of hand-blown Italian glass.
It has no label to help me identify it - but stylistically it looks to be Italian / Venetian in origin. The shape and frilled rim is also suggestive of Welz Glass from Czechoslovakian. But it is certainly mid-century central European in origin.
It is certainly well made with some craft in the making. It is a fine tall vase measuring 10 inches in height.
The base is of bulbous form and sits on a little foot. The form undulates to the top of the bulb section and then flares out to a trumpet shape with a frilled or ruffle rim. The base has a slightly rough, polished pontil mark.
The glass is made of fused ribbons of pale opaque yellow and lemon yellow glass. There are two applied clear glass swirling handles to each side - typically found on Italian pieces of this period.
It is in excellent condition with no damages.
It will be sent to you in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded post. This will cost £5.50 and applied to your order at the checkout.
