This is a highly collectable piece of vintage 1960s Japanese Art Glass
It was made by Hineri Iwatsu in Japan. It looks rather like a Murano piece in form.
It takes the shape of a chunky handkerchief vase - which has swirls of red, yellow and brown glass running through its heavy main glass body. The base section is triangular in shape as photographed.
It is in good condition with no chips. A hard-to-find item now and a great display piece. My asking price for this very special piece of glass is certainly a fair one.
The height at its highest point is 11 1/2 inches. The diameter at the top, at the widest point, is 5 1/2 inches. The triangular base is 3 1/4 inches all around. There is a large polished pontil on the base. The weight unpacked is 1.6 kg.
