This is a hard to find and rather stunning mid-century French studio glass vase. It has an etching inscription on the base: La Rochere / France.
La Rochere Glass has been making high quality glassware for hundreds of years, and they are still making pieces today, mainly fine drinking glasses and tableware.
It is such a stunning bring tangerine orange colour. It has been hand-blown and has had flecks of coloured glass picked up on the gather when the glass was still molten out of the furnace and swirled and finally blown.
The colours on the vase take the form of random patches - mainly scarlet red, blues, greys and peppermint green. The colours all swirl together or over-lay each other.
The height of the vase is 19.5 and at the widest point it is 15 cm. The rim at the top is 12.3 cm
These vintage orange swirled examples are now harder to find. It is a very decorative vase with a very shiny clear casing to the vase, as you can clearly see in my photos. It is in excellent condition with no damages, chips or cracks.
It would have to be sent to you in the UK with Parcelforce24. This is so we can double pack it in a large sturdy box - so that is arrives with you in pristine condition.
