This is an unusual little sculptural candleholder or three-branch candlestick.
It is from my personal collection and I have owned it since the late 1980s - and it was vintage when I bought it. It has no maker's mark - and I always just liked the design.
The main body section is made of steel with a matt black enamel covering - the tubes that rise upwards are made of tubes - and held together by two metal bands.
On top of each tube section are three oval crystal globes with indentations in them to hold a little candle. The crystal sections are of differing heights.
I have never found another like it - so a rather rare little item. I think that it is either Scandinavian or German in origin.
It measures at the highest point: 5 inches. The medium candleholder is at 3 1/2 inches and the lowest is at 2 /3 inches. At the widest point, it is 5 inches.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection. It is in perfect condition. I always just had it on display and never used it.
